Official languages of Indian states and Union Territory

There is no National Language of India. In 1950, Hindi was declared as the official language of India. In 1964, an attempt was made to end the use of English permanently from the country. But violent movements in south India failed this attempt. Since then, Hindi and English are considered as the official languages of the country. But due to various languages in each state, a requirement of making official language of each state was considered. The states use their official paperwork in these languages apart from Hindi and English. There are also other languages, also known as minority languages of each state, which are also used for official purposes. Below here, is the list of all the official and other official languages of each Indian state and Union Territory.
